Attaching device to leather

Hello all,

so for my Dark Link costume I'm making a wallet dyed black (reference image: http://zeldawiki.org/images/0/0b/MM_GiantWallet.png)

I had planned on making the Rupee that's attached to the front of the wallet out of polyester resin, then adding aluminum foil (or some other silver thing) to the back to give it a silver look. Anyhoo, my issue is that I'm not sure how to attach this to the wallet in a permanent fashion. If possible, I'd like to hide the method of fastening, anyone ever do something similar to this and have any ideas?
Costume Progress:
Dark Link - 99.99%
Daedric Armor - 20%

Cons attending -

EverFree Northwest 2016

The most substantial way would be to pre-drill a small hole in the back of your gem and use a tiny screw through the leather to hold it in place.
Nothing is impossible, but some things are very expensive.

My Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/penlowe I make non-fitted custom things to ship within the continental US. I only do fitted garments for those whom I can meet in person.
