Well, my $30 budget doesn't include the 6 JoAnns gift cards that have like a few dollars each left on them that I keep finding in my room

I'm personally just thrilled I get use some of the wicked cute craft tutorials I've bee bookmarking.

Gift cards are like little plastic gold bars. Their value in society low but there is always someone willing to trade.

Also I love gift-cards.

I adore gift cards! They are the best things ever. Even better is when you find a brand shiny new unused one in a jewlery box or something.
Because then you can justify spending $100 at the fabric store since $20 was a gift card...

What if we just passed around a single gift that was one of those like Visa gift cards that you can use everywhere and reload whenever. But we start it off with $30 and each person who get's it can buy whatever they want with it and load however much money they feel like to pass on to the next person.

See I like gift cards, but I also hate them and avoid getting them at all costs. I believe gifts should require thought and care when making them or picking them out 0 the lazy part can come with the wrapping . Granted it also sucks when someone doesn't like your gift but that's just them being unappreciative XD

I don't think gift cards automatically mean 'lazy'. Some folks ask for them, some folks know an individual wants them. That doesn't mean they CAN'T be bought as a 'oops I forgot to get someone something and I can't be bothered to think about them right now so i am getting them this' kind of gift. But they just aren't inherently 'bad'.
