Hey guys, I will be cosplaying Itoshiki Nozomu soon and I need to figure out what to do about the glasses. When I cosplayed grell I bought some red frames from pearl vision and put my actual lenses in them, which ended up costing 200$. (I of course wear these glasses everyday now, but anyways..) I want to get some fake frames and maybe wear some contact lenses.. Is this the best way? Does anyone know where I can get glasses that look like itoshiki's? You can usually find cheapie reading glasses like this for under $10; sometimes you even see them in the dollar store. They look to be pretty simple wire frames. You can pop out the lenses and either wear them without lenses, or make fake lenses out of a sheet of the appropriate thickness of plexiglass. It's sold in the hardware store, usually near the screen doors. Score the rough shape with a utility knife, snap the piece out and sand it down until it fits the frames. To protect the surface from scratching while sanding the edges, cover both sides in masking tape.
