Hello!

I am tweaking my katniss everdeen cosplay to reflect her far less pristine condition from later in the games.

In particular I am concerned about doing her head wound - more specifically I am wondering if there is a way to keep the blood from getting on my wig...

Also, by this point she has collected several old scratches and scabs. I am currently looking at Ben Nye's Fresh Scab vs Kryolan's Fresh Scab and Scratch. Has anyone worked with either of these before to recommend which would work best?

i love Kryolan Fresh Scratch. It is hands down my favorite FX blood product, Easy to use, easy to clean up, stays in place, looks realistic, dries to touch, can be used on props, affordable.... I have never used the ben nye I am sure it is a good quality.

As for blood in he wig, it you have a flowing bloof product ot one that stays wet it's gonna be in the wig.

For the head would then, I was thinking maybe use the fresh scratch as a base and dab a little blood towards the bottom to make it look a little fresher. Since the fresh scratch dries to the touch would that maybe help spare my wig while still giving a good appearance?

The Fresh Scratch will dry within minutes and will not come off on the wig. If you want to dab some blood product on that will look more wet as the wound is, or just was bleeding, rather that a stage blood which will run more I'd go with Mehron's Coagulated Blood.
