Lightbulb fans?

I have to make a pair of metal looking fans for my adelheid costume. (KHR!) The issue is that I need them to be somewhat light weight cause i have to hall them around a pretty large convention! I was thinking of either buyin a pair of already done fans, extending them with wood n chjicken wire and then plastering them to give the shape (then spray painting for color). But this seems like it will be too heavy..... HELP?????

Cool

Hmm. After checking some references, Adelheid's fans aren't actually all that much bigger than a normal fan. You could probably use this tutorial for them. Admittedly, it's a tutorial for Temari's fans, but I think that if you get a bit inventive with it you should be able to get the desired result.
