LA night life
AX 2013 will be my first time at AX and was wondering about the night life in the area and what people think about the AX Dance.

Well if AX decides to bring back their +21 lounge, that would be cool. You have many things to do once the Exhibit Hall closes for the day from the AX Dance to the karaoke. Nightlife is mostly great if you're in a group. If you're under 21, than the choices are not so great. Most likely you can just hang out in person's room and chill the night away.

Lets be honest here--the party never stops at Anime Expo!
I guarantee you'll find something fun to do at all hours of the day.

There is Always something to do at AX during hours and After Exhibit Hall Hours. It's hard not to find something to do that is fun or at least something that passes the time.

XD hehe Anime Expo has been a blast, always, day at con, night at hotel rooms. About LA in general, hmmm this area is quite safe if that's what you ask.

I just make friends with others and party it up. Lol, there is always something to do at anime expo. The dances are kinda lame but I tend not to care. Its the attitude you bring to the event is what makes it fun.

If anything I was thinking of getting a party bus to go out on the town.

It would be cool, but that seems kinda pricey. Why not stick to your hotel and throw a party there?

Yooo, I love the night life in LA. And the dance is pretty sweet, but there's a number of awkward people there sometimes...so go with buddies. I insist. Lol and by awkward...I mean creepers. But they're never rude or anything. Also, the line gets huge, so make sure you get there early if you want to get in! Me and my friends waited in line for two hours last time! And we ended up only being there for an hour til it closed. It's a good place to let loose though, I had a blast both nights when I went!

the party bus would only run about 800-1,000 and i wouldn't have to worry about anything getting broken. that is for the bus that can carry 40-50 people, so lots of room. i think i will open a thread on AX forum's to see who is interested.

ive been to the dances and it depends 1)on the time 2)the day and 3)the theme
day 0 dance tends to be a little less fun as less people are there and those that are usually are working on costumes. day 1-3 tend to be pretty fun, and last year there were constant lines to get in (one of the down falls) but the themes are pretty cool, esp if you dress up.
a lot of people also take taxis or trains to little tokyo so thats cool too
