Dead Space 3 - Witness Suit

Let me start of with a big hello cosplayers! I'm here because I need a TON of help. I have never cosplayed before, never built my own gear, nothing. I am a complete and utter noob.

That said, I have played Dead Space 3 for well over a month and I am dead set on building a rig that was in the game - the Witness suit. It is a retooled version of the main suit in the game, the Arctic Survival suit. I have seen many Dead Space 1 suits based on the engineering rig in the game, all of which entail a lot of molding and painting for the seperate armor parts. I think this suit should be fairly simple in comparison - but still way above my skill level. PLEASE, anyone who has built similar costumes or has knowledge of working with the stuff that will be involved with this, help me out. If I can get this ready for halloween, I'll be so pumped - might be unrealistic.

Here are some pictures:http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__...s_suit_DS3.jpg

Honestly, I would love to gain experience building this myself, but if someone thinks they could build it for me, I would appreciate any help at all. Help out a noob!

A little update - got a chance to talk to a tailor at my place of work, she seemed very excited and willing to help me build the base suit. Using what I've seen throughout the game, I would think we would need to fashion it like a jumpsuit. The only time Isaac puts on a suit manually, he pulls the legs on, then reaches back to pull the top half of it together (can be seen at the 7:33 mark here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUS95yibehc).

Now I just need to figure out how to build the health and stasis back piece, the front chest piece, gauntlets, boots, knee pads and helmets. Yeesh!

i think it makes it easier to understand, if you look at dead spaces suits,
as armored scuba gear (wet suit/dry suit)

probably use a spandex body suit, and use a thicker material inside to reinforce
parts where you need to attach things (i would thing spandex or similar material wouldnt handle it by its self)

the top has a shoulder and sleeves only coat with fur trim (should be easy enough)

"The only time Isaac puts on a suit manually, he pulls the legs on, then reaches back to pull the top half of it together"
which make me think a cold water survival suit analogue would also make a good base

the dead space wikia, has a good pic for looking at the stasis/TK module
(theres links for some of the suit tech its not too hard to find)

the o2 module "pumps" with movement from the right shoulder

the health rig, and HUD projector would be the most tricky parts
RIGs have been done, before, but its rather dificult for it not to look cheezy
cause of trying to make the health meter adjust amount of health,
the examples ive seen use led "rope" lights

personally id take the easier road and have a fixed health level, just cause its
cleaner and more accurate looking
use colored celophane and "white" nightlite bulbs or other light,
as long as you can get a nice uniform illumination

the stasis guage on the back is d shaped with green light

the stasis/TK module can be on either arm, in game its on the right
(real world innovations would say in a military intended suit or custom suit,
people might opt to put module on the non primary arm for ease of use in non delecate operations) (isac probably wishes he had the option) in game all the suits you see are
civilian and engineer models
stasis/TK module looks like a heat sink and a couple other electric bits on the forearm and some copper lines that dissapear into the glove
which would have unseen parts in the palm for "shooting" TK or stasis blasts

I can sell you my RIG back device and hand scanner if you want it.

Interested? Just need to repaint it.
