Hi everyone! My name is Chloe, I run Earlybird Costumes a small commission based costuming and prop service. This January I will be co-hosting, with Ginger of GNB Cosplay, a workshop contest in the style of Project Runway which we have lovingly named "Project Cosplay".
What I've come here to say is we are looking for more contestants!
Here is a bit of info Ginger has written up:
"Where Project Runway meets Cosplay!
GNB Cosplay and Early Bird Costumes are hosting a huge 3 hour event at Anime Los Angeles this January!!!
Project Cosplay - Friday 6:45 - 10:15 PM in LP3 (New York)
We will provide you with supplies and inspiration, and you will have a limited amount of time to put together a costume based on a character of our choosing! The costume will have to be wearable by a cosplayer, not just a dressform/mannequin.
This is definitely a make-it-work moment because you will not have months, or weeks to work on a costume! The winner will be chosen based on their creativity and likeness to the character. If you think you have what it takes, then come put your cosplay crafting skills to the ultimate test!
If you would like to sign up, please contact us with the info below:
Age: (because of scissors & sharp objects, must be 12+ to participate... or be accompanied by an adult)
Any experience they have making costumes?(training...awards...etc...)
A little about yourself (2-3 sentences)
Emails can be sent to GNB_cosplay@yahoo.com
We will be taking sign-ups at the door, but once our limit is reached, we won't be able to let anyone else in.
Also! If you would like to come by and watch/film/take photos, that's perfectly ok! Just contact us if you want to set up any equipment!
See you all at ALA!!
Hope to see you all there whether you're competing or not!
