Eye doctor is fitting me for colored contacts the 18th.....question....

She told me there are three kinds of contacts. One day, One week, and One month. How do colored contacts work here? I would assume they are all one month, right?.... And let's say they ARE one week or one month..... could I keep them contained in the solution for over a year and still use them, or..... what? I will/would be asking her, but really curious to get an answer to this now. I mean, I know lenses like Sclera ones are highly pricey (not that I am getting those, because I am not) but I just can't see them being that price and disposable so easily.

They are categorized in the same way. There are daily colored contacts, weekly colored contacts, monthly contacts and yearly contacts. Dailies are costly than yearlies in the long term, though (of course) yearlies cost more than dailies at face-value. What is best for you varies depending on your situation.

Most contact lenses have a 60 day wear, I've heard: so either you wear it 60 days straight or you can soak it in solution (which you'll have to change though) and use it 60 times. All contacts have an expiration date so you can't really keep contacts for over that (my contacts have a 2015 expiration date at the moment).

But I digress. You should check with your eye doctor since different brands have different possible wear time (and they would know best, anyhow).
