Thumbs up What are you watching right now?

I'm looking for some recommendations, so I thought one of the best ways to do that was to hear what everyone else is watching! I searched for a thread like this one with no luck!

I'm currently watching Kaichou wa Maid-sama. Not too far into it, I saw a couple episodes at Fanime 2010 and although it's took me over a year, I had to watch it. It's adorable and I highly recommend it so far.

Don't forget your spoiler tags~.

Gosick is my favorite so far for 2011. Gothic lolita detective goodness.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica / Puella Magi Madoka Magica (not sure why it's spelled two different ways) is pretty great too, with its ominous twist on the magical girl genre.

Fractal starts off with a good sci-fi premise about a future world in which a sort-of mental internet keeps the population docile, isolated and content. It keeps me watching, but the storytelling gets pretty wretched.

Right now I'm watching D. Gray-Man, I just love the atmosphere and the story's pretty good too, although it gets off to a slow start, I'm glad I forced myself to watch the first 13 episodes before giving my verdict

I finally gave in and started watching One Piece. I hated the 4Kids dub, I hated the Japanese dub, and I still hate the manga. But, FUNimation's dub has completely won me over- especially with Chris Sabat as Zoro. I still have my reservations- not only about mainstream shonen series with battles that take up a lot of episodes, but with the plot as well- but the dub is fantastic, so I'll go along for now.

Other than that, I'm rewatching FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Chobits. Both are fantastic shows from fantastic creators with fantastic characters, artwork, and plots. :'D

I occasionally watch a Bakuman episode now and then. I've also been randomly watching Nana (since I've already read all of current manga and watched both live action movies).

I just started watching Code Geass, and I'm pretty excited about it. You've probably encountered it before, but just in case you didn't, I kind of like it. (Ooh, and they have like, a shoot of Sunflowers at the beginning. Totally got me there ^^)

I'm a few episodes into The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I'm liking it. I rarely bother with newer anime so it's a big deal for me.

Bakuman ended. So Nana dub and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. Oh god, the latter is so ridiculous but hilarious at the same time.

Spring 2011 is shaping up to be really really good. Which is fantastic since the only thing worth watching in winter was Madoka-chan. They need to show the last 2 episodes of that like now.

Nichijou is a lot of fun, but it's a little too random. It's as if Gainax did Azumanga Daioh. Super cute, a lot of pun jokes, a lot of off the wall action scenes that don't really make sense but are a ton of fun to watch.

Sket Dance has a way higher budget than I was expecting. For a shonen anime with little to no action about a community assistance after school club, everything is animated gorgeously. Hopefully it can keep it up.

I watched 1 episode of C: The money of soul and possibility control. I have no idea what that show is about. At all.

Steins;Gate is interesting, but it's almost completely incomprehensible. Apparently it's a sequel to Chaos Gate from a few years ago. All I can tell you is that dude has a microwave that makes green gel bananas.

Fireball and Fireball Charming are the best things to come out of Disney Japan in a long time.

The english/latin/presentation name is Puella Magi Madoka Magica and ties into the use of ruins. Mahou Shoujo is direct translation of Puella Magi, the same way Bishōjo Senshi is translated as Pretty Solder in Sailor Moon.

It's sort of a long running tradition almost, with the magic girl. Although the Magi Magica is redundant.

Final episodes air tomorrow.

Lately I've been really into 90's anime for some reason! Slayers is the latest one I've started watching, and its just fantastically fun! I also was watching classic anime like Kimba the White Lion / Jungle Taitei Leo a little while ago. Its a little kiddish, but equally awesome. Also, rewatching Pokemon. So much fun.

In more recent works, I'd reccommend Kuroshitsuji / Black Butler if you haven't see it already! Its pure awesome, mixing both humourous scenes and storlines with darker plots and themes seamlessly. I've been watching it with my friend who lives in a different city than me, so I'm not into the second season yet, but its good of what I've seen thus far.

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
is crass, cute, and funny as hell. Just 100% epic. Other than that... Can't really think of what else I've seen recently!
