The photoshoot list will be opening on either Feb 28 or March 1st, whenever I have time. The pdf with all of the locations/times/days will also be posted then so you can see where the big groups who responded have booked. This same info on locations/how to book will eventually be posted on the AN Facebook site and on AN's webpage and forum. So groups outside of cosplay.com will likely be seeking space - be warned!

Photoshoots that had a large number of people attending last year have been contacted so they can put in for a location early to ensure they get a spot that can accommodate their size so we don't end up with groups not being able to fit into their spots like last year.

There are numerous complaints every year about the locations people pick for photoshoots -complaining about crowds etc. Then there are complaints about locations that are 'too far' (even though everything is pretty damn close). That being said, the most popular locations are the crowded ones. I think DT 3 is a good compromise as it is only 7 min from the front door of the TCC if you follow the road, longer if you go through the DT for the A/C.

TCC 1 - good for small groups (0-15 cosplayers), has trees for backgrounds (so some shade) and is a bit out of the way of the steady flow of traffic

TCC 2 - good for large groups (50+ cosplayers), exposed to the sun, crowded area

TCC 3 - same as TCC 2 but no trees, more crowded

TCC 4 - good for small/medium sized groups (0-30 cosplayers), has some trees, possible shade from building, a bit out of the way of the big flow of traffic

DT 1 - shady location, good for small/medium sized groups, trees, crowded at times with random others

DT 2- good for small/medium sized groups (0-30 cosplayers), out of the way of big crowds, trees and bushes for backgrounds

DT 3 - good for large sized groups (50+), out of the way of big crowds, very big location with trees and power grid station for backdrops as well as possible open sky. Not far from Double Tree hotel, easy to reach from back of hotel or along road.

ITCC - AN INDOOR LOCATION! I was aiming for a few spots but the TCC is renovating some areas right now and we don't have a proper floor plan yet. As of now I know i'm getting at least 1 spot and it's carpeted. I'd suggest only small groups (0-15 cosplayers) book here as I do not know the size yet (and won't know until end of March likely).

I'm confused, so do we have to email you w/ the info on those dates or just post here or at the tea forum?
Edit: There is no location on the map for the spot I had last year, which was on the left side of the TCC. :/

it may have been removed. that's a really high traffic area as it is. ox o

It's been removed. Long story short TCC has been making things a bit(understatement) difficult and since the spots around the front were highly crowded anyways they've been removed. Still have a spot on the other side of the TCC though (hopefully it will stay there).

That was suggested by the other girl and not me. Last year I had my photoshoot at the location I suggested above, but I see that we have to make other plans.

Hmmm, haven't receive any email yet for the FF photoshoots...maybe my hotmail went crazy with all the emails I got within the last 5 days I wasn't here though... sorry if that's the case O_O I didn't have any laptop with me to check my emails so...very sorry!

Thats okay, reading your first post I think I have it figured out. I may have even forgot to send the email. It's been a hectic time.

^ It's usually a month before AN as the list needs to be printed in time for the Thursday. So last April in the past.

It was kind of ridiculous they didn't see how letting people park right in the shoot area would be a problem. Kept having to do the old street hockey "CAR!" call because "high rollers" had to get in and out...
