Borderlands 2 cosplay help!!
So, I planned on doing Captain Scarlett for Katsucon 2013 and I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out her peg leg situation.
Photo here: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_me...iy24o1_500.jpg I have her hook and hat figured out and I'm just stuck on her peg leg. These game developers really didnt think this one through did they? lol All suggestions are welcome. I'm playing with the idea of just pretty much making a black stocking and modding it with a wonderflex swirl for the accent and modding a shoe for the silver portion. But I'm trying to see if there is any other way to go about it. Thanks |

Don't waste your Wonderflex on that, just get some copper tubing from the home improvement store. Something like this - it's flexible, sturdy, and easy to work with:
http://www.lowes.com/pd_25025-58421-...ductId=3434874 I think a black stocking and a silver shoe is a good idea, especially if you can build up the other shoe to be oversized and bulky, to make the peg leg look small by comparison.

Don't think "Peg Leg", since walking around on one with no experience would be awful in about 40 different ways, maybe try building a sort of "Fake Pant Leg" that you just wear around your leg, It may look a bit off, though.

Have a talk to Tarah Rex on here, she's got a thread in costume critique, she's working on the same costume. She might be willing to share her ideas.
