Question Making little hair accessories, lots of questions!

Hi there everyone!

So, getting to the point I'm planning to cosplay time skip/second season/whatever she's called Mimi from Digimon. You know, once they're older and stuff. Here she is:

You get the point. So, I've got the wig taken care of as far as knowing what i want to do, but the real kicker is... What's up with those little stars?

I'm kind of confounded and trying to figure out a decent way to make them! I'm having trouble finding simple, yellow star clips, and I don't really feel like buying them anyways.

So, making them is my preferred method. But, um, how? My main questions I guess would be what material to make the stars out of? Foam? Clay painted? Gem stones? Wood?? Buy star shaped things and paint them?

Secondly, once I have my little stars, how will I attach them to the wig? What kind of hair clips should I use to attach these things? Bobby pins? Alligator clips? Those bendy ones? Which ones will stay on a cosplay wig for a long time with minimal visibility and tugging on hairs?

And finally, where would one procure these things? I'm guessing hair accessory supplies could be picked up at a beauty supplier like Sally's, but hey, who knows.

So yeah. Lots of little things to think about here. Thanks for reading and stuff!

Oo, I see it now.

They remind me of the star shape party glitter confetti. There small and light weight. I can't recall any hair clip things small enough for those but with the glitter, you can probably just attach it onto your wig after you finish the wig and know where the stars should go.

As it's a wig and not your head, all kinds of materials you would never use in your real hair are possible. I've sewn more than one hat to a wig in the past. Stapled a few too
