Difference between Arda's shades of red?

Hi there,

Does anyone know the difference between the Apple Red, Cherry Red and Maroon colors from Arda Wigs? I'm trying to find the right shade for my Yveltal (Pokémon X and Y) gijinka)

I'd go with the Cherry Red myself since it has a tiny bit of orange in the red color. But it seems like personal preference considering it's a gijinka.

How does it compare to Apple Red? I'm looking for a shade of red that looks a bit more natural than the super-bright red that you can often find party wigs in. My friend used a Maroon wig for her Kairi (KH2) cosplay and it turned out a bit more pinkish than expected, is it usually that way?

Not from what I've seen? Apple red has less orange in it, but both the apple red and cherry red are going to be vibrant. From Arda you're not really going to get a horrible neon color in red. It'll be bright yeah but that changes depending on the lighting for those two. Maroon could be a bit pink? I guess. In person it didn't seem pink to me at all. If you really can't choose pick whichever fits your fabric and skin tone best.

WARPAINT and Unicorns has a side-by-side comparison (scroll down for the reds):

Apple Red is definitely not on the 'natural' side, if that's what you're going for. (Here's a photo of my Apple Red Ferrari under fluorescent lights-- I'm using it for Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and it matches her hair colour in the movie nearly spot-on).

Given that you're not going for a natural human-hair red and instead are aiming for a colour to match a Pokemon, you can get something a little more vibrant (without being obnoxious) that works! If you're still not sure, check out Arda's customer gallery for ideas as well.

Thanks guys! It looks like Apple Red would probably be the best color for Yveltal then
