Wonder Girl (Donna Troy)

Hi guys, a year ago I made this costume for Free Comic Book Day and I've been tweaking it ever since 'cause I haven't been completely happy with it. The wig I bought used to be really curly so I straightened it a bit and now I'm having a hard time getting it to fluff up a bit at the top. I want it to look like the third picture. Also, I used laminated metallic spandex + rubber foam for my bracers and they look good but after using it a few times, it dulled down since yeah, it's laminated. Any ideas on how to seal the bracers so they won't fade (my belt is also made out of the same material) or should I make different ones using a different material? Thoughts? (^__^)

This is how Wonder Girl looks:

And this is how my costume looks:

Thanks, guys! (^__^)

I love your costume! I think the only way to get the wig to look fuller like in the last pic is to sew some extra wefts in. Have you already sealed the bracers and belt? If not that would help, or add more coats, although that would decrease flexibility. Looks great!

Thank you! (^__^) I think I'll try that for the wig. I was able to fluff it up a bit during conventions but it goes flat after a few hours.

I made a new belt and bracers using the same materials but I'm not exactly sure how to seal them. I'm not sure what to put on top of metallic spandex to keep it from fading since it's laminated. The moment it gets wet, the laminate starts coming off (^_^?)

You could try using Got2B freeze spray to lift the roots and keep them in place. Like seriously, it never dies down haha.
