Holding up unattached armor
Hello! I'm making Solange from Code of Princess. I'm in progress of making her armor and I can't seem to wrap my head around having her bicep armor stay up. What should I use to hold up unattached/free armor?

Velcro is the first thing that comes to my mind. Maybe put a small arm band underneath the armor and use the industrial strength Velcro

Character designers love coming up with armor that makes no practical sense; especially for women.
Presuming the armor you make doesn't weigh a ton, and you have it sized appropriately, I suspect it would be sufficient to just use a bit of double stick tape. Hollywood Tape, sold at fabric stores, is specifically formulated to stick to the skin and hold things in place. |

You could also get some flesh colored elastic and add it to the band in the inside

Or glue on some snap buttons, if your materials allow for it. Just make it tight enough to stay up when closed.

I vote for elastic. I drew a picture of how to do it.
The advantages of this are: it isn't sticky, it won't show because it's attached inside the arm band it's adjustable for maximum comfort
