Anyone coming from NY? (Rideshare/travel buddies!)

My usual travel group can't make it this year so I was wondering if anyone's driving from the NYC area (or the NE in general, I suppose!). I was planning to take a bus and then the shuttle, but if anyone's driving I'd be more than willing to chip in gas money, etc.

If not, anyone else doing the bus route?

I'm going by train.

I"m going on friday morning. I'll arrive an union station at like 11AM.
Sunday my train leaves at 4-5 PM if i recall.

The shuttle sorta sucks. Its cheap if you are by yourself. But if the thing is full there is no second shuttle for another hour.

So sunday on the exit it might be better to try to pool together for a Taxi.

What time are you taking the train? I'm thinking about taking it down friday morning as well. I'm just not sure how to get to the con from the station. I was going to go to the Alexandria station instead of Union Square since it is closer to the hotels/convention.

The amtrak train. Its more expensive but since im taking a rather large costume, I don't want to risk having it being destroyed when its shoved under the mega bus.

Understandable. I had to change my cosplays because I realized that I don't want to go through all the trouble of bringing the giant props with me.

My boyfriend and i are driving down from long island thirsday morning to be tere by thirsday afternoon. Wed be willing to share a ride with ya so long as chip in fer tolls and gas.

Yeah but why wait at the station for an extra hour..

Anyways the Bolt/Megabus will always be cheaper then Amtrak/Greyhound.
They drop off at union station.

From Union station you have three choices. Attempt public transportation which i've never done. See if the shuttle is coming or has room ($12-$18 not sure of the price now). Or take a cab. $30-60.
