How To Learn To Style Wigs

What is a good way to learn how to style wigs?

I was thinking of buying cheap Halloween wigs or something and practicing on those with help from YouTube. Yay or nay?

Depends..Are you looking to learn to spike as well? If so, You're gonna have to bite the bullet and buy a good spikable wig..You can wait till places like arda has a big sale in those cases though..However, if you have characters you want to cosplay with spikes (provided you want to learn that) then that's a good way to learn too (doing them for YOUR cosplay lol). That's what I did. I started out with a few spiked wigs of my cosplays. With styled like sebastian, or Hetalia characters or something easy like that, then those wigs SHOULD work, but remember that they will still look bad..So don't be dissapointed if you think you did bad. If anything too, you can style them for practice and ask on the critique forum and see what others think of your skill.

Oh, and as for using youtube, yea, that's a good idea..It's better to see someone actually DOING the styles, rather then just a few pictures..

I would just use the cheap wigs for cutting and bang styling. Spikes, I would practice on my Soul Evans wig since it's easy to retry with that wig. I am more concerned about cutting though.

I would just go on ebay and look up cosplay wig and set your budget to 10$ and under.

Make a bid/purchase. The quality is kanekellon which is better and it will look better to try cutting on.
Also look up "How to cut hair" videos.

I 2nd using ebay since apparently you can get a heat resistant wig for about 16 bucks (I would only get one to test before buying more.) or long non heat resistant wigs for the same price (This I can vouch for.) or a lace front for 20

Yea..That's why I didn't mention eBay lol Also, A lot of those super cheap ones are either 1) worse then party wigs..Or 2) you will never recieve them lol

Granted there are a select few that you will recieve and good quality, but you won't know until you acually GET them and is that worth the risk just to learn to cut? lol
