Absolutely. Know your limits and then keep pushing them
I started jogging last summer and plan to start up again as soon as the snow is gone. I had some help from my iPhone though XD There's an app called 5K Runner (you can try the free version) It gradually gets you going from walking to jogging. The program is 8 weeks, but that's for someone who's already fairly active I think. I went at my own pace, repeating particular intervals until they became easy before moving on. After 2 months I was jogging 25 minutes without pause. For someone like me, that was phenomenal.
