Hi, i am new to cosplaying so am i unsure of who i should do. because i don't want to chose something to over complicated. So any ideas on who i could do would be helpful

Tall and slim, hm? Perfect for Suzaku Kururugi from Code Geass (his school uniform would probably be the simplest... you would not even need a wig!).
Your face also suggests that you could make a pretty convincing Link (Legend of Zelda series) too.
