Wow, they announced a guest and I didn't even catch it? Guess that's how much I'm not paying attention to AM2 as of late. I went last year but their guest list was pretty lacking. I want to go this year, but I don't even know if they'll have any good guests. :/

10 dollars for three days is a pretty damn good price imo. I mainly go to cons for the cosplay, cosplay panels, and meeting people haha. So I'll probably go regardless of what kind of guests attend.

It is a little closer to Am2 now since the 1st Guest announcement back in February. I do hope Am2 announces at least 1 Guest this month just to keep interest in the people. It is still 4 months out until Am2 but would be nice to see some sort of announcement for something. Promotion or anything.

Skipping Am2 this year is a very good Option for me and use the money to attend Otakon Vegas in very early January.

it could be that they are waiting to get closer to the event to try and run a shock and awe type campaign. Also more than likely they don't want their announcements competing for people's attention during the prelude to fanime and ax

I agree with this. I mean, the prices are pretty darn cheap xD
I'm thinking of going since the Anaheim convention center is SOOOOO much better than the lA convention (that's just my opinion) also, they could bring great guests over there xD but i would love to go xD

Personally I don't expect this year to be any different than last year...

Guys don't get too excited for the con. It might not happen. The first year AM2 launched as AM2 (there isn't much information on the net about Club2theMax) it was in the red and someone was able to step in and clear the debt. This year I don't think there's much enthusiasm staff-side. Even if the fans are pumped for the con, it just can't happen if there's really no response from Chase. You guys should just do a really large meet up in Downtown Disney or something. I honestly think Chase is giving us the jerk around.

I am an outside observer here, but that is an awfully specific charge on the state of AM2.

I'd just like to clarify that I am not and have not apart of the official staff. I have however been a moderator of the forums for a short while, and I have kept tabs on almost all the juicy bits of information on the internet about AM2. It's a hobby.

yeah, someone posted on their facebook page today that they called the ACC and the lady told her it was canceled
and with no guest announcements in the last 3 months, and no responce from anyone in the staff on the state of the con, its not looking good

it shouldn't be a big deal, I wouldn't go comparing it to AX prices

It honestly wouldn't surprise me at this point, not just money but lack of (remaining) staff is a problem. It is still on the Anaheim convention center website but check back in a week or two to see if it disappears from there, that will be the final confirmation.

Even most of the local people I know were planning on going to Japan Expo instead of this.

I can verify because as of today, it has been removed from the Anaheim Convention Center website schedule.

If anyone wants to see for themselves, go here:
http://www.anaheimconventioncenter.c...tCalendar.aspx
And then click on the months until you get to August.

Two days ago, it was there, now it is not. I know the website is still there, but 99.9% chance, this is it for AM2.
