Temporary Hair Colour Sprays

Has anyone had any use of these? Like this

http://www.partydelights.co.uk/produ...HIT&MO=0&PMO=0

I'm planning on doing Smoke (pre-cyborg) from Mortal Kombat

I have chest length hair as it is and can't dye it permanently and don't think a wig would work, would it?

I can do it with a full balaclava for the costume but I did Sub Zero once and it really knotted up and can't be bothered with the hassle again haha

In my experience, those kinds of dyes tend to be horrid - they rub off constantly staining everything and everyone that comes in contact with it, even after it's dry, and it makes your hair stiff.

Granted, I have never used that make, so I don't know if it'll be that bad.

Of COURSE a wig would work. Just get one that's good quality and not a cheap-wear-once-and-throw-away-or-sacrifice-it-to-the-wig-gods party wig.

A friend of mine has hair that almost reaches to her knees, and she gets all of it up in a wig no problem! My hair is your length, but is super thick, and I manage too.

Definitely invest in a good wig, if you plan on wearing this multiple times!

The only spray that looks reasonable is jet-black (and it still makes hair very stiff and rubs off, though I've had success with it since my hair is short - some of the other dark colors I'm told will work if you have lighter hair, but personally with my dark-brown hair it ends up looking, at best, really weird...)

If you insist on using a "temporary dye" instead of a wig, there are other options out there, Mehron makes some "liquid makeup/hair color" that is supposed to be good, and for some small streaks I've had mixed success using regular pancake makeup (kryolan aquacolor and Wolfe) I've seen people who have used the aquacolor and it looks very good but I dont know exactly how they did it...

As for a wig, if you braid your hair first then wrap it tightly and use a wigcap it should work fine. Not dont this myself since my hair is short, but I've seen LOTS of people use this technique and it works (no idea how/if it tangles afterwards though, that's not usually mentioned)

I wouldn't. I've never used that exact brand but I have used a spray before because during Marching Band (i'm in the colorguard) we arn't allowed to dye our hair unatural colors let alone bleach it unless your naturally blond. I didn't listen and had four purple streaks put into my own hair and everytime we had a competition I had to spray my hair so my captain wouldn't spazz out on me for doing it (she was EXTREMELY strict about length and color). ANd everytime I needed to do something with my hair after the competition I wouldn't put it down because the black would rub off onto my clothes and uniform. Plus I wore a white bandana after a state competition and it turned it grey.

So after my excessive amount of writing and long terrible never going to happen again experience.
Don't do it. It's gross and no fun.
