Family Guy skits?

I love Family Guy, and well, it seems a lot of people here do too ^_^ So....I'm not sure if everyone's seen this episode but....it's soo cute, lol.

The episode where Stewie is getting his daiper changed by Peter and um...Peter ...well:

"That's not talc, you idiot, that's paprika!!...AHH! Take that!!

^_^*Lol. So cute...Would this be an ok script idea?

If you are thinking of doing this at an Anime con, you may want to check the rules for the Masquerade. Many anime cons only allow skits and/or costumes from Japanese influences such as Japanese video games, manga, anime, etc.

However, if you do this skit at a sci-fi convention, you should be fine.

I'm sure that if you had the concept of the Family guys as your cosplay characters but some sorta anime influence it should work. Or you can just go up on stage and do a non-competitive skit.

As long as you're cosplaying an anime or video game character, I don't see the harm at all. Afterall, I think the funniest skits are those that randomly bring in the humor from something American (IE Austin Powers references are gold XD). Besides, skits that require a crowd to know your anime tend to flop if people don't know the anime well enough, but so many people are familiar with American things, it tends to be more sucessful. Not to mention, the unexpected is always appreciated.

When doing this tho, you really have to consider... is what's going on funny outside of the context of the original show? It CAN be done and it can be done well, I've seen it, but... that's an important issue that can kill your skit really fast.
