So, my boyfriend is going to be cosplaying with me, but seeing as how he has dark hair, he will forever have a 5 o'clock shadow!

I need some makeup tips to cover it up!

Some people were telling me to use both powder and liquid foundation and try to make it a shade lighter than his actual skin tone, but I'm not sure, I'd feel bad caking makeup all over him.

Any tips for hiding it? We're hoping to make it so it's completed covered and the makeup won't melt off during the day.

Drag makeup is a good resource for this. I've heard that pink or peachy/orange toned correctors applied before foundation can help counteract the beard. Good luck!

Pffft he's in a performance art (kind of... to me it is) and you feel bad in doing what you have to, to achieve what you want? Makeup is about it. It covers it up pretty well (my bf also has a permanent shadow, and he did Death the Kid last year... who most definitely ISN'T super hairy or manly).

Youll want to use a full coverage concealer and then foundation ontop of that.

I've found MAC is good, doesnt need anything special, I can actually forget to shave entirely and have "feel-able" stubble and it still covers it wonderfully (though it *is* expensive - so very much worth it though)
