Jack Sparrow OST Wig

So I really want to update to OST, but I don't like any of the OST wigs that are currently available (currently only moviewardrobea2z and Yordreem are my only options), so I am, once again, going to make my own wig.

I need a wig that is brown and gradually goes to blonde at the tips, and I searched for human hair dip-dyed wigs, but all of them were pretty expensive. There is a place near me that sells human hair wigs for nearly 50% lower than prices that I have seen online, so I was wondering, if I were to go about trying to do the dip-dying myself, would I just go about doing this the same way I'd do it to my own hair?
I'm confident in my ability to dye or bleach wigs since I have done my own hair and my friend's hair multiple times, I just want to know if this will work or if I might have to take it to a salon to get it done.
