glaDOS eye help!

(reference: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...OS%3B400%3B385 )

Alright, so I'm attempting to do a glaDOS cosplay, an original design, but I like the idea of keeping her eye like a lot of cosplayers do. The only issue is that I can't figure out how I'll have it stay over my left eye like that. I will be wearing a wig, so the possibility of sticking the top to the wig came up. I'll be making it out of craft foam, a styrofoam ball with the light, and more craft foam, so I'm not sure if weight will be a problem. What do you all think I should do?

EDIT: Also, I'll be fiberglassing plenty of armor. I'm making it resemble Mass Effect N7 armor, with a few modifications. How much fiberglass would I need to buy? Two quarts or a gallon?

If you try to attach it to a wig, the wig is going to slide down. If set on doing this, you'd want to also attach the wig to your shirt with a cord going down the back of your neck.

Beyond that, I can't say that I can picture what you intend to do. Since this is an original design It might help you if you did some concept sketches.

As far as how much resin to purchase, there are few things more annoying than to be in the middle of fiberglassing and run out of resin. So it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy 4 quarts of resin in separate containers, and return any containers you don't open at the end of the project. Don't buy a one-gallon container with the intention of just using whatever's left for next year's project. It starts to degrade less than a year after it has been opened (#learnfrommyfail).

having it permenantly over your eye will severly limit your movement. make sure you have a "handler" to help you move around! id built it with supports that connect onto a hairband thats hidden underneath the wig or is above the wig but the same color. im trying to think of a good way to conncect it tho.... wire is a maybe....

I'm not set on wearing it attached to the wig, no. Also, the idea to attach it to a headband underneath the wig would be good, but would the headband slide?

If your using a wig cap you might be able to attack it to that, depending on how heavy it ends up being.

I also agree it will mess with your depth perception unless you make it see-through somehow (though if your planning on lighting it, then you'll be blind when the lights are on)

I'm with going to try and wiring some lights up (Mostly from Radioshacks for 1$-5$)) and hook it up. If not, I'll just use a blank yellow contact in one eye.
