invisible sheath?
My cosplay calls for a katana and she usually wears it on her back, but there is obviously no visible sheath or ecven a shoulder strap. How could I hide this? My cosplay is rather tight too. For reference its dc's Cheshire. Thanks

You could use fishing line (high weight limit) as the strap, or I think sewing stores sell by the yard some of that clear "bra strap" material.
Btw it would help if you posted a reference, as all super heroes have multiple versions and costumes. |

It would take a bit and it's an iffy project, but you could mold one out of plastic, or plexi-glass. It'd be seen, but you can only do so much if you want a sheathe. Otherwise, there are always ways of mounting a katana on your back, like o01101011 said, the clear bra strap material, or fishing line, though I don't personally recommend either, as the fishing line can cut in, even with the costume on.
You could, however, try to incorporate something like the clear bra strap material into the back of your costume that the katana can easily slide in and out of without being directly noticeable.

I just had a quick google, I think you need to post your reference image, because everything I'm seeing she has a sheath and obvious shoulder strap.
