Amalgamations of two different characters?

Two characters in one cosplay. Has anyone seen a lot of this before? If so, what's your take on it? Is it fun or what-not?

Which ones have you seen so far? A few that I've seen are Pyramid Head (Silent Hill) as a Sailor Scout. Haven't seen this one myself, but someone told me about Yoko from Gurren Lagann as a Vocaloid. owo

I've never seen one, other than Deadpool being various things, but it seems like an awesome idea. I think as long as the base character is recognizable, it's a win. Bonus if both are recognized, and triple bonus if you can get a small group to do it with you.

Nice wordplay with K/Quorra, too.

That (I think) is the guy who runs Magnoli Clothiers, he's usually just called Indy Magnoli.
I know sometimes the Jack Sparrows like to dress up in alternative costumes. One of the Sparrows did a Santa-sh version of his costume. Other than that, I can't really recall anyone who has tried two characters in one cosplay

I think if the characters are different enough then it will work... but if they're too similar then you'll just end up confusing people.

For instance, I'm planning after I finish my Rainbow Dash cosplay (which is NOT gajinka, but actually uses a blue zentai suit and blue makeup to be closer to the source), to do Rainbow-Dash-As-Edward-Elric (or arguably "Dash the Rainbow Alchemist" --- go ahead google it, it's my dead webcomic I may revive one day), which would be kinda obvious with dash being all blue with rainbow mane/tail wearing Ed's trademark coat and shirt/pants/boots. Also considering a few other 'Dash cosplaying' outfits (come on, how many of us DONT imagine her as a closet Otaku?

)

On the other paw, I'm also thinking of Doing Alucard (Helsing) and Vash (Trigun) but if I combined those two people would just be confused or think it's a blonde-alucard or black-haired-vash (at best)

So in short...
If the two characters are obvious, it should work and will impress and amuse, I'd think, but if they're too similar, they would blend and confuse everyone

I have considered doing so. I was going to mash-up Haruma's formal designs (Vocaloid fan art) with Harry Potter characters for a photo-shoot/recording a cover of a song that has nothing to do with Haruma, Vocaloids, or Harry Potter.

I think it can potentially be confusing, but why should that stop you from cosplaying what you want?

It'll be Meikaito....That's Meiko and Akaito from Vocaloid. Other then that I planned on a Vocaloid version of Sora from Kingdom Hearts. I have the design all drawn out and everything but I don't really wanna do it that bad lol

I have done a basic mashup for years and I am the process of making one now. It is sure to be unique and standout if you Mashup too.
