It's been a while since I ordered contacts, and with money I recently received I chose to get contacts for my own fun, and cosplays. Of the many contact stores, I could easily have chosen to try another contact store new to me, but I decided to go with www.pinkyparadise.com
. A store I'm very familiar with and have had great satisfaction with buying contacts from.
Colors I bought: Violet, Pink, Red.
The red one is something new to me as I haven't tried a Vassen contact yet so I decided to experiment and buy that instead of what I'm used to which is the Dolly Series.
Shipping: The order date for the contacts was December 14, 2014 and I received within a week using the Fedex Express method (4-7 days) which I'm still impressed with how quickly it got here. I was fine with it saying it'd arrive Monday, but seeing as I've never gotten prescription contacts that fast I'm pretty happy about that. Sure, It almost went past the number of days for the shipment but they're good.
Colors: I don't know what I can tell you as I haven't been able to wear them much, and I'd rather not take them off and on for hours to test them all out but I've been wearing the pink contacts for a while and they're very comfortable, and can be clearly seen on my dark brown eyes. I'll add pictures of all the contacts if you like, but I adore the pink very much.
Let me explain color a bit to you, when picking contacts you're going to be either looking for Natural or "Pop-art". Natural is when it stands out, but it looks like it fits you...Like you can wear these at a store, and people will actually believe that is your eye color. On the other hand, the other kind is "pop-art" which is literally what you can guess. The color is right there. There is no subtle appearance to it and is meant to have people see it and think "Holy shit." "You have contacts on." "That's so cool!" "Those aren't your real eyes."
Where am I going with this? Probably no where but I hope you understand what it is and realize that when you're looking at contacts. I would like to say that of the contacts, the Violet has a way of fading into a more "natural" look while the other two stand out more. Definitely something I like about them as I'd rather not have a "cartoon" look while wearing the violet around places.
Comfort Level: 10 (But this is from someone who is used to wearing them all day. Beginners I'd advise only 3-4 hours)
Shipping: 10. It is much faster than I imagined, though I still think it's best to get them in advance if you plan to use them for a convention.
- Shipping is fast
- The colors were more than what I expected, great though I somehow imagined the violet to be a little more darker. Not that I don't love it still, but the picture made you think it did.
- they just really show up on dark eyes. Look at the pink! That is amazing.
- It was wonderful to receive three free cases with my order for all my contacts as I was worried I'd just get one.
-The only con I can think of is that I always end up trying to open the bottoms they come up and they never open the way they're supposed to. It's hard to explain, but the vials that carry the contacts have a cap that is supposed to push up, and uncoil the metal rim keeping the contacts inside.
Anyway, I recommend these contacts always and hope this review helps in some way your choice in contacts.
