Ahoge on natural hair?

Hi, I'm being Araragi Tsukihi from Bakemonogatari for Katsucon, and I actually have her hair naturally. The only problem is that stupid little chunk that sticks up! I have no idea how to go about this. I've looked up tutorials, but they're all for wigs and involve wires, pipe cleaners, etc. What should I do?
Here's a reference, for those who might not know what I'm talking about.

You can attach a pipe cleaner to a hair clip like this and burry the clip under your hair, then style your hair around the pipe cleaner with hairgel. Or you can try the Got2B Glued hair gel. I heard that stuff can make your hair stick straight up for extremely long periods of time, and you might not have to use the pipe cleaner

just be careful when you do this with your hair as you might start to show skin if you put too much hair up
