Dr Facilier costume help!

My boyfriend and I are having a joint Disney-themed party for our 21sts, and he wants to be Dr Facilier from Princess and the Frog. I need help finding a pattern I don't have to alter too much for his tailcoat! Also looking for accurate-ish (alterable) patterns for his waistcoat and pants - I hate looking for pants patterns - and advice on how to make a top hat, or whether I should just buy one off eBay! I am aware this makes me sound lazy, but I haven't had much experience with pre-packaged patterns, as I have drafted all of my own from basic block patterns. Which I now no longer have access to. Plus I haven't drafted a custom tailcoat before, and would prefer to have something close enough to the reference to work with.
PS yes, I know everyone hates making coats and jackets, but I have experience, and it has to be THAT particular colour. Because accuracy. Also, don't diss my spelling; I'm Australian.

Thanks for your help!

Simplicity and Burda both have a tailcoat pattern. Both are lumped together with the costume patterns.
