So, instead of taking pictures -of- cosplayers at cons, I'd like to take my pictures WITH them. Is that creepy? Personally, if I were cosplaying, I'd love to have my picture taken with people instead of just a single snap. It's so much more memorable.

I can understand people not wanting me to touch their cosplay, so they can obviously say no, but the last thing I want is for people to start avoiding me.

It happens. It's not often, but it's not rare that some people do it/ask for pictures with them. :3 I don't find it creepy at all and it makes me happier in the inside too.

My lack of social skills and master ability to be awkward at every chance led me to ask this. :'3 I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. I'd be very happy if someone liked my cosplay enough to want a picture WITH me!

I think it can be flattering/sweet that someone wants their picture with a cosplayer. ^^ It happened when I went as Canada and I didn't mind at all.

This has happened to me as well, and I found it rather flattering.
It only bordered on slightly creepy once, when one guy asked me like three times over the course of one day.

who was dressed as Deadpool and we got stopped every five minutes for pictures.

I'm fine with being asked for a picture with (grammar?), except that I never have any idea how to do it. Do I smile because I'm happy someone wants to take a picture with me? Do I make an angryface because that's the character? I'm so awkward. :D

I don't mind it when someone ask to take a picture with me at all. I find it flattering as well. Grated as long as the person doesn't do anything to overstep their boundaries. But other then that I really do not mind at all!

Its really flattering, well I find it to be anyway! I remember the first cosplay I ever ever went out in. It was the first one I made and this guy came up to me an asked me for a picture with him and I couldn't believe it! I was like 'You want a picture... with me? You sure? OKAY!' :')

This happens a lot where I am actually. I can't confess to having found it more flattering than if it was a picture just by myself because... well, I guess I didn't quite realize that this wasn't as often an occurrence as I initially thought. >.>

I see nothing wrong with it, I have done it a few times and that's how I managed to get a cool SOS Brigade photo and a picture of me in my Liliana of the veil cosplay from game day at Anime North.

As long as boundaries aren't crossed then I don't see anything wrong.

I've gotten asked to take a picture with a couple of times it's nice, the only thing thats gets me is when people don't ask and just put their arms around me which happens a lot to my Korra cosplay. I'm usually cool with taking pictures with people when they ask. It's fun. I actually like taking pictures in my cosplay fighting other cosplayers but I'm too introverted to ask most of the time D:
