Dr.Fate Voice Changer
I was planning on making a Dr.fate costume for next Octobers Comic-Con. I have most of the fabric parts planned out, but the helmet is still a bit up in the air. It will likely be made out of wood, though what kind yet, I'm not sure. What I was planning on doing, was installing some kind of mic, with some kind of voice changer to make my voice "boom" deeply. I speak fairly deeply already, though I'm worried that the helmet, which has no "mouth" hole, would make it difficult to hear my voice. If it has some kind of external speaker, that can't be built into the helmet, I can wire it into the costume elsewhere. Any thoughts on how to do this?

Darth Vaders from the 501st quite often use voice changers, with a small amp hidden under their chest box or in a belt pouch.
I can't give you exacts, but if you look for the forums on 501st.com you'll most likely find a helpful thread in the sale section. |
