Best fabric to make a bow that will keep it's shape?

Okay, for my Charlotte cosplay I want to make some bows that I can tie into the pigtails of my wig (like in the picture below). Like, make a big long ribbon then tie it onto the pigtails into a bow. I've had some cotton lying around that I've practiced tying around things, but they're flimsy and don't keep their shape. I found a print that I really like but this particular one only comes in a jersey knit and a cotton.

What can I do to make it stiff enough to keep its shape once tied but not so thick or stiff that I can't tie it? Will these fabrics work or will I need to look elsewhere?

Sorry for the silly questions, but I'm not great with fabrics and such.

Choose your fabric and then choose an interfacing within the same weight, I would go with something like a good quality Sateen or Twill cotton or Blend Poplin. and then Featherweight or Fashion Fuse, depending on your stiffness you're looking for. If you want stiffer than Craft fuse is heavy enough for seriously stiff bows

Okay, thanks! As long as it doesn't make it too hard to tie then I'll do the interfacing thing. :3

You don't want to tie the bows on your wig. You want to form them via cutting, gluing twisting, etc. then mount the completed bows on your wig with wire. Then use a scrap of your fabric to hide the mounting
