I usually use a mix of eyeshadow, and pencil or felt tip eyeliner. c: ive been gifted with light colored eyebrows, so changing their color is easy. colored mascaras also work pretty well when used correctly!

I know a lot of people who use hair mascara or acrylic paint to color their eyebrows. I've tried a couple of ways to color mine, but I find coloring them white first with eyeliner, then applying the desired color of eye shadow has worked for the most accurate color.
Another way that I've colored my eyebrows has been with glue and eye shadow. You take something like an Elmer's glue stick, brush it over brows, and then apply the eye shadow. Personally, I feel using eye makeup alone will make your eyebrows look more natural, but they can smear easily. Using glue or acrylic paint can keep them on longer, but it can make your brows harder to move if your's are thick. Here's a thread you can check out if you want more ideas. http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=132030&page=3

Depending on the color I need, I use either just a matte powder eyeshadow and brush it on, or first I use a stick concealer to lighten my brows then use the powder eyeshadow on top. I don't usually go all the way to the extreme to match the wig color because sometimes it looks too harsh. I just go for something that will look close and natural. I did that for my make-up test for Juvia and my brows I felt blended well without looking like I had this mass of blue just sticking above my eyes.

I actually draw my eyebrows on, for cosplay, but -- when I had eyebrows, they were slightly thinned out and trimmed down with powder always being my lifesaver.
I know a couple people who use eyebrow wax to cover them up and draw them on from scratch. But if you're not comfortable with that, taking some stick concealer to help lighten them helps! Afterwards, you can draw on top of them with a blonde (or any colour that your wig is). This helps in controlling the shape of your eyebrow (arch, length, thickness, etc.), since every character doesn't have the same brow. Remember that the younger the character, the thicker your eyebrows should be! It helps create a more youthful look. Afterwards, seal it with a powder slightly darker (eyebrows are normally a shade or two darker than hair) or the same shade. This makes it look more natural and helps prevent them from smearing or wearing off. ![]()

I use a gluestick and eyeshadow. Powdered eyeshadow is easier to apply to the glue than pressed, but both work great.

So far I've stuck with pencil eyeliners. Lately I've been experimenting with covering my real eyebrows and drawing in more character appropriate ones.. but still with pencil eyeliner.
