Yosuke Hanamura

This is my first time crossplaying outside the theater. Here's some photos I took with my phone -- No photographer. Just me. Sadly, my actual camera with a timer had a dead battery. There will be more stance-oriented photos to come.

The only photoshopping was to get rid of fine lines, sharpen the lighting (it was in my hallway), and recolor my black glasses to orange since I haven't bought the paint yet to make my spare glasses into the ones we all know and love.

I'm still working on the school uniform.

I did some very light shading make-up over a thin layer of foundation to sharpen my features. I have really chubby chipmunk cheeks, so it took a bit of contouring.

What do you think? Could I pull of a good Hanamura?

Well, first shots of the uniform taken tonight. From my phone. I'm waiting for both roommates to clear out so I can steal the living room and our giant T.V for some Midnight Channel poses. I'll put make up on, and bind a little better for those.

I still plan on making oversize Kunai that I can carry to the convention. The ones in this shot are real. They never leave my house. They're usually on display with the rest of my replica weaponry, like "Sting," ,my silver/black katana, and Obi Wan Kenobi's Lightsaber.

Because every good nerd needs replica weaponry. *nodnod*

Well PB is doing maintenance so I can't look at the pics there, but I can see your avatar pretty well. You make a great Yosuke. Do you have tarot cards yet? Since I can't go to the pics I have no clue..

You make a very convincing Yousuke.

Even under a very heavy critique and scrutinizing, you do a very good job as your cosplay and physical appearance emulate the very feeling of Yousuke.

But what would really push it over the roof is if you could have Susanno walking around with you. Now that would make your cosplay even more super special awesome lol.

I only think that is a little off is the wig, in the front it looks like its sticking up too much. other than everything else is perfect, im impressed with having both outfits uniform and casual outfit. they both look perfect!

I agree with brigit, the wig looks like it's sticking up a tad too much in front. It's swept back quite nicely, just get it to calm down a bit more and it'll be perfect. I'm impressed, you make a fantastic Yosuke. ^^
