Nyreen!

Much as I love my Asari girls I have fallen in love with another character from Mass Effect and have started the lengthy process of making her real.

this is my progress so far. If I was not tied to my netbook (desktop finally died) and incredibly unwell I'd copy and paste here.

More work tomorrow I hope wafter a full night's sleep

I watched the entirely of comedy seasons each pass at sculpting and have so far sent 5 or more days doing so. I don't want to add up the hours too much

First casting from my molds!
http://neimhaille.tumblr.com/tagged/nyreen
More info and photos there but hooray! I've found I need to cast the mandibles thinner and the face thicker as I sort of expected.

The pieces are slush cast latex and tomorrow I'm going to pick up some more paint and thickened latex to be able to make a proper cast. I also need to pick up some brushes to clean out the lower jaw mold. I'm also going to try and cast a few for Asari headpieces and get them out to people I have promised.

Still to do: resculpt the mandibles. I made them a little too long in front and I want to get some more agressive texturing anyway. Then mold them and then sulpt the crown ridges, they will work like a skull cap

Hey, do you think you could run me through how you sculpted the face (in layman's terms! XD)? I'm new to sculpting and I want to do a female Turian cosplay, currently researching how to sculpt the face and what I can do it out of and how etc.
Thanks!
