Khal Drogo beard....

I want to get my husband to cosplay Khal drogo from game of thrones

the wig will be fine, i can figure that out myself, but i dont know how to go about doing his beard. my husband can grow facial hair just fine, but his mustach comes in red lol and he doesnt like having facial hair. I'm sure if he were to let himself just get scruffy i could shade it with make up to make it look fuller, but i dont know how to do the long beard part, without having to have him clean shaven and stick a dumb looking fake beard on with spirit glue

This is relevant to my interests, so I hope someone can chime in with experience on face-beards.

Lacey wigs make a full range of beards you can work with and glue down to your face with spirit gum.
