panting tap light / light bulb cover
This is for a Leona [league of legends] cosplay.
basic reference: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yG_Zkbiw00...a_Splash_0.jpg art with glowy bits: http://media.pcgamer.com/files/2011/...tArt-Leona.jpg I'm thinking that making the circles glow would look really cool-- she's supposed to be all sunfire and whatnot. so my idea was tap lights [cheap if it doesnt work out!] there are 2 different kinds I could find: 1) 2) I feel like the LED light will be brighter and better to see, but I might need a way to diffuse the light AND make it more yellow which im unsure about. im thinking watered down paint of some kind and/or yellow plastic wrap might work.. but I have to touch it to turn it on, I can be careful but I dont want it to crack. ..or maybe theres a better alternative altogether!! ideas? |

Difusing
just get some n600 sand paper and sand the inside and outside of the transparent plastic if you can take it apart easely.

Thanks for the suggestions... I didnt know those flatwire panel things existed!! they look promising. I was mostly looking at a tap light because I dont want to make my own circuit, but those might be better!

Yeah me either until recently! I've never used them before so I can't review them. But they look like they would work well enough
and lighter weight than a tap light.

I can't attest to the flatwires, but I've purchased quite a few LED/lighting products from save-on-crafts.com and I would highly recommend the site, especially for lighting newbies like myself.
