Tusken Raider WIP

A little secret project of mine.
Making a Tusken raider. I just finished the robes, and gloves.
(I forgot to wear the boots. I still need to wait a bit until I have the head ready.
Any critique?

What have you made it from? Tuskens are made from quite a rough weave.

You need to extend your gloves up your forearms so that they hide your skin if the sleeves fall back.

Are you planning to dye it? It's far, far too light, and also needs to be weathered heavily.

As for dye, you can coffee wash it. http://icalliance.boards.net/thread/955/cooking-cloth , as for weathering clothing For me I live down a dirt road and how I've weathered stuff was I would add rocks to certain parts tied off with rubber bands and I would drag it down the road. This would end with torn areas, holes and fraying, perfect for weathering clothing back when I was doing heavy fabric outfits.
Other than this the robes look great. What are you gong to be using the the mask and Gaffi stick?

It's possibly my lighting and the fact I'm using a webcam (My super purple Waluigi cloths came out very blue in my last photos) though, you are right on it being too light, I only just sewed it up, and need to add all the mess and dust.

That's a great idea, I'll do that once the rain has cleared up. The mask I've planned out, I'll use hollowed magic markers, metal rivets, leather strips, dirty bandages and a few other things.
The Gaffi stick.... Haven't really thought about it yet, as this is my secret project and takes least priority (Which is weird, cause this has actually been the easiest costume I've ever done)
