Hi will be doing prince zuko cosplay. Just wondering what fabric or material that i can use to make look like fire.

You can buy some cotton fabric that is patterned to look like fire, but I presume you're going to make it look like you're bending it, so that might not be the best choice.

Most likely, you'll want to bunch up red and orange sheers. Tulle will probably be a good choice, since it gives a lot of volume, but mixing some organza in could potentially work as well.

Sorry...couldn't help myself. You can take multiple pieces of various colors of organza (reds, oranges, and possibly the occasional yellow or white) and stitch them together in a sort of loose chaotic overlapping chain. Getting crazy, you could then tightly fold/bunch the chain up in a manner similar to the classic unending handkerchief trick. Tie one end to your hand/wrist, and securely stitch an appropriately sized lead fishing weight (possibly wrapped in foam for safety) to the other end. Properly executed, throwing the lead weight could cause the chain to impressively unfurl simulating a plume of fire. However, such a thing would very probably thoroughly upset con staffers, so it should probably be relegated to situations like masquerades.
