Shoujo con Cancled!!!
Shoujo Con is Cancled or at least postponed till 2005. It's very sad, no BAAF, no Shoujo Con, Anime Next is going to be big this year.

For some strange reason, I'm kinda not surprised. I went to the one in 2002 when it was in East Brunswick NJ, but after the security problems there they moved it all the way to Rye in upstate New York... and now the cancellation just tops off a lousy three-year problem with hotels and locations.
It's disappointing, I know, but Anime Next, Tekkoshocon, and Otakon should keep east coast con-goers busy this year. Of course I myself would love it if Shoujocon came back to the East Brunswick Hilton in 2005.... it's literally across the street from my dorm o.O |

'Tis a shame Shoujocon is cancelled this year! I honestly viewed the convention as a legacy of sorts, the one event celebrating the shoujo genre almost exclusively... I was beginning to plan to attend this year, too (which was actually a leap for me, as I wanted to take a "break" from conventions. ^_^)
I hope Shoujocon will resurface in 2005! (I will be looking forward to it, if I'm not too occupied with moving into college that year... 'tis frightening!)
