Help please?! Necomimi ears

Hello everyone! So for a cosplay I'm making I would like orange necomimi ears. I noticed the ones I got are white with a pink inside so I was thinking of going and getting RIT dye and dyeing them orange...Will this work? Do you have anyother suggestions?

Thank you for you help!

What sort of material are they? Can you slip off the furry part? If you can't take the fabric off of the actual device, then I wouldn't risk it.

Would you just be trying to dye the white part? If the covers aren't too expensive, you could try it once and buy a second pair if it doesn't work. Thinkgeek.com sells replacement ear covers for about $20.

prob. the whole thing, however if the pink part is a bit darker than the white, it doesn't matter as long as they still appear orange XD

Then I'd give it a go! Worst comes to worst, you could just as easily sew ear covers instead. You already have the originals as a template, and felt is cheap and easy to come by!

If it were me, I would rather make covers for each ear. You might be able to buy existing ones too, I know some people have started making and selling covers since the Necomimi ears came out. But if you're looking for a specific color, maybe go to Joann fabrics, or some other similar store and find the right color, and make your own. Like these, which I just googled: http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...ss-d5i43py.jpg

I can almost guarantee that it's faux fur a.k.a acrylic a.k.a VERY HARD to dye... So try searching for faux fur dyeing techniques.
