well it still went through so i think its still ok. My prop is also made out form the dollarama aluminum broom stick. This was just from last year. Waepon master didnt seem to have problems with it.

^ probably because it was a staff or spear. The idea is you don't want to hit anyone with exposed steal. A long metal exposed rod/pipe is pushing it.

You know what is funny about the orange cap at the end of the toy guns is that I painted it over for my prop last year and they approved it :P

Now that you mention it, I got a pistol replica from Mass Effect, so clearly there are no orange caps and I don't want to paint it, but I'm going to be making a proper holster for it.

but that aside, can the weight of the weapons cause any problems? I mean the thing is pretty heavy and I plan on making my rifle pretty heavy too.

if its hard to move around with it, it might be a problem, but I've seen people carrying things that must weight 50-80 pounds no problems... guess it just depends on how strong you are... if you can carry a 150 pound thing easily, then its okay, if you can't even carry 20 pounds, maybe you shouldn't bring that 30 pound canon...

The pistol replica may be an issue however... it says right on the rules 'no replica weapons'... so I'd message the Weapons Master to see if yours fits in that category...

Alright, I haven't made the rifle yet so I haven't got a clue how heavy the final product is.

For replica, it clearly means firearms we use here, I'm talking about a M-3 Predator pistol. I'll be making a full hostler for it too.
