Back when I was struggling to get rid of most of my Manga since I didn't have enough room for it, I ended up donating it to my public library. I'd rather people get a use out of it instead of it rotting away in the dumpster.

If your looking for used stuff check out the marketplace forum to see what's being advertised. Though I doubt you'd get any 'donations' you could find quite a bit on the cheap.

I have not ever had a collectible or toy I did not want anymore, if I did it would go to a close friend I knew appreciated it or be stored away for someone in the future that I would want to pass it down to.

I usually donate anime merch I don't want to a local convention. They put the manga in their manga library and the random plushies and posters and whatnot get put into their prize bundles that get given to winners of various contests.

My friends get first choice of anything I have before I donate it, though. xD;

I cleared out most of my stuff via the Nominoichi market at Anime North. Plan to do so again in the future when I've amassed a collection of stuff I don't want again. (If you're looking to GET stuff, if you can find a con or event for selling used merchandise and/or cosplay items, you can usually get things cheaply. If you're lucky and shop right by the end, some vendors will drop everything down a buck or two or even free so they don't have to take things back with them.)

Here is the real question. I just cleaned out my parent's basement.

WHAT DO with Escaflowne and Cowboy Bebop boxed set.... on VHS??? Or fansubs of Kodocha and Marmalade Boy from 1996, passed along from email mailing lists?

El Hazard on laserdisc, anyone?

The first Sailor Moon movie that was pirated and subbed on VHS, that I somehow magically bought at a Contempo Casuals at age 14? (Before it turned into Wet Seal - no really, how did that happen?)

How about a Pokemon cinema poster from when the first movie originally came out in the theatres in the US?

Or the complete collection of MixxZine, like oh, 50 of them or so? (Before it turned into TokyoPop magazine, which turned into a manga publisher, which is now out of business.)

Or my Apollo Smile CD *and* comic book?

Or Tobal #1, a fighting game with character designs from Akira Toriyama (Dragonball Z), that I only bought because it came with a 7 minute demo for FFVII?

..........no one wants my crap.

Incorrect! I would. xD

I have a tv that has a built in VHS player, I love Pokemanz, old magazine collections are interesting, and that looks like a game Brando would be amused with.

SEE FOLKS YA NEVER KNOW.

Oh man, Apollo Smile, I remember when you were a thing.

You can probably get a decent chunk of cash-money for Tobal though.
