Did Doctored Locks change brands?

It's been a while since I've done a wig, and I'm trying to part a yellow Sailormoon wig. I ordered extensions from DL, just like I always have, threaded them through the back of the the wig, just like I used to, and tried to slag it with my trusty braid sealer .... and it doesn't really melt. The sealer is hot, I have the burned knuckle to prove it Did they start making heat-resistant fiber, and what's the workaround for this? I'm doing the old tried-and-ture method of wefting in fiber to part a wig in the back. Help!

To me it sound like heat-resistant fiber but have you tested your braid sealer with some Kanakolan fibers lately as well?

I use Hot Glue to fuse the hair of my Arda Wigs.
