Question Male Meltdown?

Well, I've been thinking about which new cosplays to begin working on...Of course, I have some I'm currently working on but I had an idea pop into my head for another cosplay idea. It'd be kind of fanmade, but also not, at the same time. Sometimes I don't especially like drawing my own designs for characters, but I did have this one in mind.

I was thinking about doing Kagamine Len in a Meltdown outfit for a few cons. There's a version of him or two singing it, and I'm surprised no one's really ever cosplayed any other VOCALOID's Meltdown other than Miku's and Rin's. I've seen one or two pictures of the entire VOCALOID's Meltdown deisgns, but it's not enough reference for me to use...

So, what do you guys think? If I were to sketch up some ideas, and begin making it, do you think it would be a good idea?

[It'd be good for all my summer cons too, with the design I'm thinking of...]

I'd say go for it! I immediately knew what you were going for just from the title, and so long as you alternating black/white concept, I think it'll be totally recognizable.

Best of luck!

I'm glad someone understood my vague titling... I'm so bad at it sometimes.

BUT! I think I might, and there's a friend of mine who told me a special type of tape or simething to make the costume seem to light up, so I may add that in some places, but it'll"light" up white, so I think it'll look fine...

Oh, EL Tape? That stuff is pretty awesome, it'd be a very cool addition! It's not that bright in broad daylight, but at night, the effect is pretty epic.

She says it's, "premium high gloss PVC 1/2" wide reflective tape which generates a light like shine when flash photography is used."

Maybe I can ask her about the EL to ;o

Ahhh, gotchya. I'm not personally familiar with that stuff, but if it's reflective, it would look shiny with a flash on.

EL Tape is basically a flat strip of LEDs, so you'll always have a glow, regardless of the lighting around you.

There are a bunch of places where you could get EL Tape for this! I haven't had much luck finding yellow tape, but Amazon has tape in other colours (like white) and has yellow EL Wire from a couple different sellers.
