Realm of the Fey: Faerie

I already did a search about this, and the only thread I could find was started in 2004, and no one has posted in it since 2006... I thought about reviving it... but I thought it might be just as easy, if not easier to just start a new thread about Faerie/Faery costumes.

Personally, I've been considering making a Faery costume this year. I'm just not sure what I want to make yet. It'll come to me.

Anyone? Faery costumes?
Or even non-Faery costumes that would fit in the Realm of the Fey?

Beings you can find there:
Pixies
Sprites
Gnomes
Trolls
Angels (of a different sort)
Centaur-like beings

For ideas of what I mean, I recommend looking at Brian Froud's artwork. He is one of the top Faery artists.

Can't believe I'm the only one chiming in so far here,

What I like about the Realm of Fey is that after you've chosen your wings, horns, pointy ears, what have you ... you can make some pretty cool clothing-costumes by just getting creative with dollar store leaves ... twigs ... natural things you've found. It's like an assemblage project in costume.

I made some goblin vests just using carpet underlay felt and ripping it into shape. Then I didn't so much as sew ... as darn it together with thick brown wool. I found an old dried lilac branch in the back yard and took the circular saw to it - slicing buttons, which I darned right into the vest. Some dollar store ferns and other bits an pieces finished it off. I did a whole slew of these in very basic form, and let the wearers decorate them as they saw fit.
