Comissioner not on Reviews??

Wondering - A few commissioners I was looking for are not on the Reviews Section under the right area's and some of them are actually well known commissioners but I see no review for then even when I searched as "Search this forum"

I have had a good experience with one I was looking for and a bad experience with another I was looking for, and thinking about doing one with this one commissioner but I can't seem to find them on the reviews.

Wondering if that's a good thing or bad thing? Cause I didn't know until just recently that I could review them and maybe others don't too, So I'm wondering also if I can't find any reviews do I just go off the picture's the commissioner has up?

Well honestly people are just too lazy to write reviews. I've made at least 15 commissions for people and have only had one review.
It really depends on the person.

Agree; plus I know myself that I am really selective and really dont like being bombarded with hundreds of "Not serious" Just want to quote and never contact you back ever again clients

Yes, what is up with the "Please give me a quote" so you write back asking what are their measurements and they drop off the face of the earth. O_o

THIS. Everyone expects us to magically know what their measurements are but we NEED measurements to determine how many yards of what fabric to get and how much other materials are needed. Obviously not everyone requires the same amount of fabric - same for costumes. The bigger and more detailed, the more fabric and materials. And of course, the taller/broad/bigger/etc you are, the more fabric required as well.

The fact that someone may have few or no reviews posted here isn't necessarily a good or bad thing. Like a few others have stated already, some people just don't bother to take the time to write a review on someone they have commissioned.

Case in point: I only have one review in the commissioner review thread, even though I have done quite a few commissions for people through this website and know that some of the customers that I have communicated with through deviantART or email are also members on this website.

I also find it a little annoying when someone asks for a quote but doesn't give me the information that I need to give them a quote and then never responds back when I request that information from them. I suppose it is the nature of the beast though.

Yeah, really. If there aren't reviews for a commissioner, by all means, review them! Good or bad, reviews help other cosplayers looking for a commission. If you found other people's reviews helpful, it's only fair to turn around and review your own commissions so they in turn can get help from you. Right?

And who knows, maybe others just need a jump start - if they just need to see someone else reviewing the same commissioner first before they'll add in a review of their own. Be that go-getter!
