Roxas wig critique!

Hi!!

I'm very new to cosplaying. Like, really new. This is the first wig I've ever styled. It's Roxas from Kingdom Hearts. I bought the wig from ****This Website Link Has Been Removed due to Recent Forum Spam**** one of their Roxas wigs; on the site it was styled, but when it came it was flat, so I did it myself. With the wig on my head (not a foam head) with Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam, Paul Mitchell Clean Cut gel, and drugstore hair spray that I forget the name of. And a hair drier.

I'm aware that it's not very good or accurate, so I want some help from experienced cosplayers as to how to improve it! I'm hoping I can get it done really well before Anime Matsuri?

My wig (face not shown because I'm ugly and shy) (one of these pictures is from my own tumblr, don't worry I'm not stealing photos):

Come on guys! Please do your worst!!

I don't know the character, but comparing the reference to what you've done, it looks great.

Also, I stalked your tumblr. You're not ugly. I really mean that. Cosplay is the perfect way to un-shy yourself. Being able to become the character instead of being plain old Garbage-chan is awesome. Just smile! Or, like, look serious if that's what your character does.

If this is the first thing you've ever done, you have started yourself out on a great foot. Good on you!

Holy crap, that's your first wig? That's awesome. The only thing I can suggest is trying to get more of a 'swoosh' than a straight shot from a cowlick. I can't really see from the pictures you posted, but here's my closest approximation in green.

Sorry about the face. I can't help myself when someone blanks out their face.

Really though, your wig looks great and you should be proud.

This looks really great for being your first wig. My only suggesting would be to "twist" the tips of the spikes with some hair gel or hair spray to make them more pointy.

you could also try glueing them in a way that would make them less "watery" and skinny.
